    Hi Amy,

Great site! Still looking through it. Thanks for your hard work!

I’m wary of putting up AdSense sites because of the horror stories in the forum about people losing their AdSense account, usually because the site offers no new content. I have a couple of other sites using AdSense that I really don’t want to risk. Is this a high possibility with Mage? Do you have a method for preventing this?

I was thinking about trying an AdSense alternative.

    What do you think?

I’m not an expert on Adsense. Do some research on the warriorforum.com. Thousands of Im’ers make websites with the purpose of making money from adsense, so it’s discussed quite a bit. Using an adsense alternative is a great idea. I plan on building some sites using the Kontera network. Nothing pays as good as adsense, but it’s always smart to diversify.

I create a channel for each site. But, yes, I have run out of channels! Bummer! I guess you could do one channel for each cpmage batch of sites. Or no channels, or anything you want. I would start with one for each, because it’s nice to see where your money is coming from in the beginning. So long as your pub-ID is in affiliate mage, you will get paid, even if there is no channel entered. The channels are optional.

I thought about this too, since putting up 20/30 sites per month will REALLY add up. Instead of using a separate channel for each site, can’t you just group them together and use one channel for 5/10 sites, another channel for more, etc. This way you get an idea which sites get the most clicks, and still not run out of channels so fast. Just a thought, has anyone implemented similar? I plan on doing it, so I will keep you updated…

    Hi Amy,
I understand that for new site I can put the ID in the Adsense Channel ID in core option, but for sites already set up, where can I put it, I don’t seem to find any where in the admin of each mage site.

Look for the affiliate mage plugin. It’s in there.
