i was wondering if you think using adsense risks having google deindex your sites because they can tie them together and ties into the warning that Greg mentions about using Google analytics…..just wondering this since Mage isnt using unique content, then google might nail all sites tied to your adsense ID ? i’ve read tht google has been banning adsense accounts that didnt provide unique content

i read on mage forum today that google sent out the email this fall saying :
“It is important for a site displaying AdSense to offer significant value to the user by providing unique and relevant content, and not to place ads on pages with little to no original content. Additionally, Google ads may not be placed on non-content-based pages.”"

thanks for this site. it helps when trying to put all the initial pieces together.

I’ve been reading things like that on WF, too. I’m honestly not sure. If I noticed massive deindexing, I would keep on building, with new IP’s, and other monetization. There are many other ads that are just like adsense. They don’t pay as well, but with the numbers of sites we’re putting up, it will add up, anyway.

Search the warrior forum, and especially that xfactor thread. People talk about it a lot. I’ve also heard that what google says, and what they actually enforce are often two different things. :)

In the meantime, just build, build, build! :)

Hi Amy thanks for this site, It’s great to find the information and not have to peruse a huge forum. I really like your layout here for finding things.
A very experienced marketer in blogs with adsense recommends leaving out adsense for about a month until the human reviews are complete which has been about 3-4 weeks through testing. And yes Google will display the highest earners on your site first, so one larger triangle has been most profitable. through the years.
Your comment about leaving out the adsense on the home page is new to me using the John XFactor template, or the MageSense template. Would you please tell me where this information comes from?

    Thanks again Amy, Jim

I was wanting to put an rrs feed on my sites is there a way to do this?

  5. admin Says:

I’m sure this can be done. You may have to add another plugin to the wp backend of each site. Go to the Mage forums and ask for help there, because I have not tried this. Or search for plugins at http://www.wordpress.org.

    Hi Amy,

I’m new to IM so I’m following your advice about creating a good site first or sculpting, as Greg put it, and then applying to CJ and Ebay. I’ve created the site and will probably add a couple more posts and then apply. The question that I have is, how do you know when your site has been indexed by Google? Thanks,

    Stan

  7. admin Says:

I haven’t seen people talking about this much on IM forums. And I didn’t receive that e-mail. If you are concerned, use Amazon. :) I’m not concerned.

Plus, there are LOTS of other contextual ad networks other than google that will be happy to put ads on your site.

type the domain with the “.com” in to a google search. If it shows up, you’re indexed. :)

  9. Thomas Publications Says:

If you want to see how many pages you have that are indexed by google, do a google search for site:yourdomain.com

    For example site:wpmagetips.com

This just brought back 177 indexed pages.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Amy

    Where you said:

“Some Mages are tweaking their templates so that adsense will display in the post. If I find the code for this, I’ll post it”

Can’t work out what you mean by this, displaying adsense in the post is normal practice isn’t it?

    JC

Nice site Ami, Great to come to a place for good help and understanding. I find the forums a bit too scattered and busy when you are trying to find something specific out…

    Talk soon
