Follow my video on how to install the full cpmage. After it is installed on your host, you can start building sites. Build the first site not as a big Mage money-making site, but rater as a nice little site to showcase to ebay, amazon, adsense. Put only 10 or so posts on it. No ads. Be sure the posts are in plain English, and very relevant to the niche. Even if you have to use the articles mage or even write original articles to make it a very nice little blog. After that site is done, go ahead and use it to apply to the networks.

Where is your video on how to install CPMage by the way?

So I have a complete campaign in what should be a profitable hobby niche. I have an ebook, a series of free info teaser emails that would lead up to the ebook’s sale, keywords, market profile, graphics, etc. I know there would be a lot of content that WPMage could find for this niche and I’m confident that besides the ebook sales, there would be plenty of related products on Amazon, Overstock and especially Ebay.

Given that, would you recommend that I do as you say and just create a pure content site first to get approved for Amazon, Overstock and Ebay and THEN do the site for the niche that I described? Thanks for your reply.

    The video is here.

If you already have your own product on a separate website (we’ll call it your “money site), then by all means start using the Mage to create sites with intent of driving traffic to your money site. Create a mage site for every keyword related to your product. Then put a text hyperlink at the top of every post using the whydowork adsense plugin. See my video here.

As you do those sites, take time out now an then to work on getting accepted to the affiliate networks. You can always try using one those sites you are building to apply to MaxBounty. They are relavtively easy to get into.

Hey thanks for the reply. I don’t have a website for the product yet, but I think I get what you’re saying. The sites that will feed the product website will just be about the niche and they won’t be trying to sell anything (?) All they want to do is to drive people to the product website where (hopefully) I can collect email addresses. In that case, even though the product website isn’t up yet, I don’t see any reason why I shouldn’t go ahead and build the feeder sites related to the niche using WPMage. They can start getting hits and then once the product site is up put in the link to that. Am I making sense here?

  6. admin Says:

Yes, exactly. But in the meantime you could also put an optin form on those traffic-getting sites. “Sign up for my list to get early notification when I get great deals for you on such and such product.”

And wondering do you do the gmail trick and register each domain under a slightly different variation of your email address, as in:

    yourname@gmail.com
    you.rname@gmail.com
    your.name@gmail.com

    etc.

If so, then I guess one has to create a new gmail account for each of those new addresses?

  8. admin Says:

I don’t do that, no. If you choose to, I don’t think you need to create new gmail accounts. You can use more than one period, so the number of combinations is countless. And you reuse the same combination. I’m so Google paranoid that I would go to the trouble of creating gmail accounts for each site, or even each batch of sites. :)

I’m going to refer you to Greg’s training videos. He discusses it in more length. I can’t remember which one, sorry.

  10. Mark Taylor Says:

    Hi Amy Kay,

I wanted to piggy back off the question above re: domain registration. If you don’t do the gmail trick taught by Greg, what is your personal process for registering these numerous Mage domains?

Also, do you use private registration as well? I ask b/c the godaddy $5 domains end up being $15 domains once purchased, and then the private registration cost would be on top of that.

Looking forward to hearing about your preferences….

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi Amy

I’ve just realised that your remark: “The domains for sale through the domain mage are getting taken quickly now that there are so many Master Mages shopping for them.” rings very true. I’ve just spent half an hour trawling through hundreds of the $5 domains and not found even one still for sale!! This is disapointing and I’m not sure where to go next.
The “http://www.registercompass.com” site costs $36 per month to use and anywhere else I’ve found don’t seem to show age or PR or the minimum bids are $69!!
    Any other ideas?
Have you found a big difference in using aged domains and brand new domains? – do your stats show a major revenue difference?

  12. admin Says:

I have notices that expired domains perform better faster. However, some mages have had great success with new domains, even .info’s very quickly. But they made dozens of .info sites to get lucky and find that golden nugget. Even a new domain will do well after a few months. It’s a numbers game, the more sites you make, the more you will make. ($$$) Building on new domains is better than doing nothing.

I don’t know of any other good sources. Do a google search for “aftermarket domains” and see what you can find. Eventually, a membership at Register Compass is probably a good investment.

  13. john cowburn Says:

    Hi Amy

It’s probably worth spending on 1 months membership to see how it goes. Problem could be like Domain Mage that every domain you look at is sold before you get to it! If they aren’t I suppose you could load up with 100 domains over the month, then rejoin when those were built. Have you tried it yet?

I bought 6 used domains off Domain Mage just today! Two yesterday. There were several names with great backlinks and aged well.

  15. Martha Says:

I have several domain names registered thru godaddy that I’ve never used at all. They’re all registered with the same email address that I’ve always used at godaddy. If I use these domains to start making mage sites will I have a problem with google? Do you know if it’s possible to change the email addresses for these domains within godaddy without creating any problems with godaddy?
Also, can you please explain a bit more about the so-called “throw-away” or “sacrificed” domain name? Am I right in thinking this domain is used for nothing but installing cpmage and never an actual site? If so, then you “add on” additional domains to where this “throw-away” name is hosted and they work off of the cpmage in the “throw-away” domain?
Sorry to be so lengthy or possibly confusing but would appreciate it if you could help me understand these things a bit better.
    Thanks Amy!
