The #2 item I have used is called FileAmigo its also free and you can create a decent amount of custom entry fields for all the information that you would use for the cpMage information. While Greg has a lot of knowledge you know exactly how to teach this in a chronological order that I had my CPMage ready with all the affiliate ID's ready in one day! HUGE breakthrough! I also liked your detailed check off list - I did modify it a little and added more information as I was signing up with all the affiliates so that I could have everything in one place.
